Quincy Rush Soccer Club is a youth soccer club located in Quincy, IL. Originally founded 1999 as the Quincy United Soccer Club with a goal of providing opportunities in competitive soccer for the youth of Quincy. With additional insight from pillars in the soccer community, the club was founded and held a city wide meeting to announce their ambitions. Tryouts the first year produced 11 competitive traveling teams.
The success of the club in the early years was the result of collaboration by a few motivated founders, financial backing from several local businesses, and the contribution of coaches that often came in the form of recent college graduates. All of this was done with little to no financial compensation in a quest to provide the best opportunities possible.
The club initially participated in the Central Illinois Youth Soccer League but by 2005 had begun participating in the Saint Louis Youth Soccer Association league due to the competitive advantages. Quincy United attended a variety of regional tournaments and even hosted an outdoor event for several years. These tournaments were always attended together as a club with significant focus placed on unity and city pride.
In 2023, the club became an affiliate member of Rush Soccer, adding resources to provide even more opporutnities and resources for our coaches and players.
Today, Quincy Rush offers soccer programs for kids from age 5-18. Fall and spring developmental leagues offer a framework for initial growth in a positive environment. Our 20+ travel teams continue to participate in the SLYSA league each spring in addition to fall and spring tournaments.
The mission of Quincy Rush to provide additional competitive opportunities for youth in Quincy and the surrounding region has not wavered and remains the same today.
