PARENTS

Quincy Rush is strong because of the amazing families that make up our club.

Whether it is a new family in our developmental program or the family of a high-schooler who has been with us for years, our club works because of the people in it.

We are governed by a board of directors, all of whom are parents within the club.

We support our teams, and each other, and share the bond that comes from watching our children succeed on and off the field.

IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS

We want all of our families to have the tools they need to succeed. These documents are very helpful in making sure you are prepared for everything that you will encounter as a QUSC family.

COMMITMENT

One of the questions we often get from new parents is about the commitment required to participate. This is especially true of those new to the travel program. We wanted to take a brief moment to let you know what you can expect.

For most of our programs, the summer doesn't have any activity (the one exception is our high school programs - especially with our girls teams). The Fall is when things start to pick up. Rush offers an optional Fall program. For most teams this will be 6-8 weeks of practice followed by a tournament. Practices will usually be 1-2 times a week (varies by team), and most practices are approximately ninety minutes.

Starting in January our season really starts to ramp up. Most teams will play a session of indoor soccer, and we begin to hold weekly practices. By the end of February, our outdoor season will begin in St. Louis. Teams will play between 8 and ten games in St. Louis. In most cases, we play two games per day. You will travel to St. Louis, play a game, usually have a rest period of a game or two, and play your second game before returning home that evening.

In the Spring of 2020, we will also play three tournaments. While they have not been finalized yet, these will likely occur in March, April and May. These are weekends where we will travel to the tournament on Friday, and play games throughout the weekend before returning home on Sunday.

While this may seem intimidating or overwhelming, it is important to know that there are always opportunity to cut costs by car pooling, sharing rooms and more. As always, should you have any questions we encourage you to reach out to our board of directors or the Director of Coaching.
