TRAVELING PROGRAM

The philosophy of the Quincy Rush travel program is to develop players who reach their fullest potential through the implementation of a structured curriculum by quality coaches in a competitive environment. The travel program will emphasize technical and tactical proficiency coupled with character development and community involvement.

There are two major portions of our competitive program. The first of which is our Youth Travel Program which is for players 2nd grade through 8th grade. Due to the nuances and demands of the high school soccer player, the second portion is our High School Travel Program.

Youth Travel Program
Our Youth Travel Program begins with club tryouts during May. Teams are finalized shortly thereafter in preparation for the start of the fall season. The fall component will begin in the final weeks of August and continue through the middle of October. Teams will train weekly for 6+ weeks culminating with entry into a fall tournament which will take place during October. A formal break will commence for the months of November & December as players are given the opportunity to rest, enjoy other sport participation, or engage in optional trainings if desired. Coaches may continue with a light practice schedule.  Team practices will begin again indoor in January through February one day per week until the weather clears sufficiently to move outdoors. The spring component will begin in late February and continue through the beginning of May. Teams will train weekly, participate in a Saint Louis soccer league (SLYSA), and compete in two spring tournaments.

High School Travel Program
The High School Travel Program is catered to the needs of the competitive player at that stage in their development. The overall program is designed to challenge and refine the best players in an effort to equip them to play at the next level while providing opportunities for players of all abilities. The template contains very intentional steps to expose the players to the college soccer scene while informing them how to make college soccer participation a reality.

Tryouts for these programs will take place at different points. Check the website for more information We offer a high school girls program and a high school boys program.

The HS boys’ program begins after the conclusion of the high school season and progresses through the beginning of May. Teams will train outdoor weekly, weather permitting, from November through May. The competitive calendar for this program includes three tournaments  and participation in a Saint Louis soccer league (SLYSA).

The HS girls’ program begins in the fall and continues through winter. Teams will train outdoor weekly, weather permitting, from September through December/January.  The competitive calendar for this program includes three tournaments.
